MY HOMEPAGE |
![]() |
For all you fans of sarcasm (i.e. basically just me, but who knows?), I haven't forgotten you. (Then again, it's really hard for me to forget myself even if I want to sometimes.) Here is the original page. AFTER its holiday. Yes, that's right! I just love to experiment... with how to design a page in HTML. (For example, don't put those annoying blink tags in and PLEASE don't make the whole page bold and italic, like some fellowships seem to enjoy doing.)
This page is perpetually under construction. Oh, and it's supposed to be full of sarcasm. And incorrect grammar.
For those of you who have been wondering if I'd actually write this:
GET LOST! (Just kidding!)
On the other hand, if you don't know whose homepage this is, then you ARE
lost. Perhaps you should
look for something better to do. Or else, you could try to find out
who owns this other homepage.
There is no point to this homepage. There might be if I found something a bit more useful to do right now. If you want to go to a page with a point (i.e. a pointed remark), go to the VCBC English Worship Choir page (ORIGINAL SARCASTIC VERSION!). (Hey, at least I enjoy it more than the cleaned-up version.)
If you are an employer, this section is especially for you. I have links to pages that I worked on in the summer of 1997:
And here's my project for my Mathematics 308 course:
And consume time they do! But hopefully I'll gain something from this (namely, a degree and a good job).
The University of British Columbia | If you've been to this place, you'll know about the huge amounts of time spent on telereg, the lineups at the bookstore... |
Computer Science at UBC | After you get into this program, you won't have any extra time left to waste on anything else with that heavy courseload of yours. Then on the other hand, you might just have time left to work on the website after finishing these courses. |
UBC Computer Science Department | Well, I had enough time left to work on this website too. |
So what courses do I still need to take?
ABSOLUTELY NONE!!! I've just graduated!
Yes, I actually wrote/modified/downloaded these things. In fact, these don't just waste time, they waste precious disk space too. But they're there (if only to show potential employers that I have some experience with forms and Java). Don't blame me if you waste your time finding out that they are wastes of time.
A very useless form | It's just to show that I can make a form. (Big deal! Don't even bother to try to submit it!) Actually, there's also a very special link for anyone interested in wasting a lot of time writing obscure C code (and I know who you are). |
A useless Java program | It's just as useless as the form, and you can't even see it unless your browser supports Java. |
What time is it anyway? | If you don't know, you might want to find out (if your browser supports Java). Perhaps it's time to visit the Christian Computing Magazine website, where you can see the freely-available code for the clock. |
Here are some links to some more time wasters (not that they're bad). And I didn't write them! This could explain why they aren't bad.
NCSA beginner's guide to HTML | For all those of you who have so much time on your hands that you actually want to write your own time-wasting homepage in HTML, this is the BEST way to get started. |
The Cat Fanciers' Association | What's small, grey, furry, and lives in a tree? (OK, a kitty tree.
And some of them aren't grey. Some of them aren't even furry.) Yes, I'm a cat fancier. What more can I say? (Except "MEOW"!) |
The Java Boutique | If you really want to waste time, check out the Games section. These are all in Java and you can download them an put them into your webpage, IF you have that much space in your account (which I don't). There's Tetris and even Blackjack, which is NOT written in Scheme! |
And now for some links to things that are actually worthwhile (although some may unfortunately believe otherwise):
Bible Gateway | This is the gateway to the most important book ever written. Here, you can find various versions of the Bible as well as translations in different languages. |
Campus Journal | A daily devotional for students from Radio Bible Class. |
Our Daily Bread | A daily devotional for all ages from Radio Bible Class |
Cross Search Music | A searchable index of links to sites featuring a variety of Christian music styles. After all, Christian music is more than just a few hymns out of a hymnal. |
And now, a message from the opponents of the "Click Here" phenomenon:
