Ugrad Web Evaluation: Game Rules
This game evaluates the Undergraduate Labs
section of the Undergraduate Web. For a more detailed look at the game,
please read the Introduction section.
The game rules are as follows:
Note: "you" refers to the participant
- Put your name on the evaluation form, the blank sheet, and the envelope.
- Using the cut-up strips of paper, group the items into groups of
what YOU think are appropriate sizes (not too big, not too small).
- If there are any new items that you think should be included in the
Undergraduate Labs section of the Undergraduate Web, write each one down on
a pink post-it note and place each note in the appropriate
group.
- If there are any items that you don't think should be in the Undergraduate
Labs section of the Undergraduate Web, put them into a group named "TRASH".
- Name each group and put each group name on a yellow
post-it note. Stick each group name on top of the group. (Do this for the
"TRASH" group too, if you have one.)
- Number each of these groups EXCEPT the "TRASH" group if you
have one (you don't have to order the groups, just give each one a number
for easier identification). Start with "1".
- On the blank sheet, put each group's name and number down, in
numerical order. DO NOT include the "TRASH" group (if
you have one).
- On the evaluation form, cross out any items you put into the "TRASH". Add
any new items (from pink post-it notes) to the blank rows
at the bottom of p.2 of the form. If you have more new items than the
blank rows available, write them below the last row.
- For each remaining item, place a check in the box under its group's
number. The columns are numbered from 1 to 10. If there are more than 10
groups, add columns. NOTE:you DO NOT have to use all 10
columns.
- Staple each of the groups together (with the yellow
group-name post-it on top). (Do this for the "TRASH" group too, if you
have one).
- Place the stapled groups, the blank sheet (with group names and numbers),
and the evaluation form in the envelope. Seal the envelope with tape or a
staple.
